Luminera Hydryal

An injectable skin booster based on non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. Designed to enhance skin hydration, revitalize the skin tissue, improve elasticity, and achieve a natural glowing look. It is strategically placed at key points to rejuvenate the skin’s own collagen-making abilities.

Lip enhancement

Here at Filson Aesthetics we specialise in creating a bespoke set of lips for each individual client. No two lips are the same and we are able to enhance the lips in an advanced and unique way by using a multitude of injection techniques, products and tools. Our aim is to ensure you are provided with the safest, highest quality of care to ensure you are happy with your new desirable lips. Individual results will vary and a treatment plan will be established and documented during your appointments to ensure we have a realistic idea of end result.

Botulinum Toxin

As we age, we lose the natural elasticity and tone of the skin. This prevents recoiling of the skin which leads to the formation of wrinkles, fine lines and folds. If these are an area of concern for you then Botulinum Toxin is the treatment for you. The treatment works by carefully injecting Botulinum Toxin into the superficial layers of the skin, allowing us to target specific muscles which temporarily restrict their movement. This allows the overlying skin to repair the ageing process and signs of wrinkles, resulting in a smooth, young, wrinkle free appearance. Here at Filson Aesthetics our practitioner Alex is trained to administer advanced Botulinum Toxin. These areas include; Gummy Smile, Bunny Lines, Perioral (smokers) lines, Chin, Lip Flick, Nefertiti (neck/jawline), Masseteric Hypertrophy (jaw slimming), hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating). A face to face consultation with our in-house prescriber is required pre-procedure.

Tattoo Removal

Tattoo’s no longer need to be permanent and can be safely removed with laser tattoo removal without causing any scarring. The treatment is non invasive, non surgical and leaves your skin looking uniform and natural. Along with the removal of tattoo’s, we are also able to treat the removal of semi permanent make up (eyebrows/lip line) birthmarks and freckles.

How it works:

When the laser comes into contact with a tattoo, the laser light is absorbed by the tattoo ink, it creates a photo acoustic shock wave that releases the heat from the tattoo and shatters it into minute particles. When this response shatters the particles, this is known as a photo mechanical effect. When the particles are shattered, they are then able to be carried away by the macrophages and leave the body through the lymphatic system. 

The Non Surgical Rhinoplasty

The non-surgical nose job is one of Alex Filson Aesthetics most requested treatments. This procedure is a painless and minimally invasive alternative to the traditional surgical nose job.

Through the use of fillers, the shape and contouring of the nose can be corrected and altered without the need for surgery. The non-surgical nose job is ideal for those with minor contour issues such as lack of a prominence in the bridge, post-surgical deformities or over pronounced dorsal hump.

Using a hyaluronic acid based Dermal Filler we are able to reconstruct and reshape nasal imperfections through a less invasive and safer alternative to surgery. This augmentation adds product below and above the dorsal hump, to smoothen and straighten the nose. Filler can also be placed in the nasal tip to upturn and reshape the nose – rebalancing the facial profile. 

Hyaluronidase / correction work

As the aesthetics industry continues to grow, unfortunately so do the cases of poor practice and lip filler disasters. Here at Filson Aesthetics we are happy to help anyone who has had previous bad experiences with any aesthetic treatment. With an individual devised treatment plan, we can restore and correct any issues and get you on the right track to achieve perfect results. We are able to correct and remove any pre existing hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers using an injectable filler digesting enzyme. Unsightly lumps, overfilled lips and migrated filler can be treated and dissolved in usually 1-2 sessions using hyalase. Skin test and a face to face consultation with our in house prescriber is required pre-procedure.

Crystal Freeze Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair removal is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment, resulting in long-term softer, smoother, hair free skin. It is an excellent choice of treatment for both males and females who are wanting to eliminate the need to shave and wax. 

Laser hair removal is a treatment that permanently reduces the hair growth on multiple areas of the body. It is often perceived as painful and even dangerous however, technology has improved dramatically over the years and with extensive research, Nicole Filson Laser Aesthetics offers a painless, long term hair removal treatment using Crystal Freeze technology. The laser system offers hair removal for all skin types at a super sonic speed using innovative gliding technology.

How it works:

The visible light source used in this treatment is attracted to the melanin, which is found in hair. The applicator is pressed onto the skin and the light energy is absorbed into the hair causing a heat reaction to destroy the hair follicle. The treatment sensation varies from area to area and from client to client.

What results can you expect:

• The number of hairs will become reduced 

• Hair will become finer 

• Hair will become less pigmented. 

Skin Peels

Chemical Peels are an effective way to improve a number of different skin conditions, targeting concerns on the face and body. Depending on your specific skin condition, a treatment can be tailored using our diverse range of chemical solutions. Chemical Peels work in a variety of ways to stimulate cell renewal, refine, rejuvenate and hydrate the skin, as well as regenerate and resurface damaged skin, making it well worth the cost. We offer a number of treatments at Filson Aesthetics, ranging from superficial to medium depth. The active ingredients we use include Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) – such as Glycolic, Lactic and Mandelic acid – as well as Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) like Salicylic acid, along with Retinoids (Vitamin A), Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) and Enzymes. Chemical Peel treatments are useful in combating a number of skin concerns including sun damage, wrinkles, scarring, acne, and pigmentation and to maintain a fresher more youthful complexion. It may also be combined with Microdermabrasion, Skin Needling, Demaplaning or Laser Skin Rejuvenation to provide accelerated and more dramatic results.

Acne Clearance

Most of us experience acne to some extent during our lives wether it be due to stress, hormones, medication, not looking after your skin etc. and it is one of the most common skin problems in teenagers and adults. The acne clearance treatment is able to target the acne in two ways:

• Firstly, the light targets the acnes bacteria in the skin, a photodynamic reaction occurs which performs a selective destruction of the p acnes themselves. With successive treatments, the rate of acne destruction can become greater than the growth of bacteria leading to a reduction in the inflamed lesions and can prevent further traumatic scarring. 

• Secondly, the light is absorbed into the blood vessels which supply the sebaceous glands. By heating up the capillaries, this will reduce the blood flow to the sebaceous glands and decrease the over-production of oil in the skin to help prevent the acne returning.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It has been used for many years and  has recently became popular as a celebrity must have treatment.

Skin care professionals must make sure dermaplaning is within their scope of practice before doing the procedure.When clients hear the word dermaplaning, they quickly associate the term with the procedure known as dermabrasion. Dermabrasion is a medical procedure in which the skin is abraded down to the dermis using a whisk like device. There can be  complications associated with dermabrasion, including infections and scarring, which is why it is not commonly used anymore.
Dermaplaning, on the other hand, is a simple physical exfoliation of the epidermis. This is a great treatment to offer to patients who are pregnant or nursing who want a deep exfoliation, but are not allowed to use peeling agents on their skin. It is also a first choice for patients who have excess vellus hair on the skin. This hair often causes a buildup of dirt and oils in the follicles, so removing the hair gives the patient healthier looking skin.

Thread Vein Removal

Thread veins are small superficial veins that occur mainly on the face or legs. These are broken veins which are visible through the skin and easily removable with an IPL laser treatment.

How it works:

The light is attracted to the target chromophore oxy-haemoglobin in the blood. As the light is absorbed by the blood in the vessels a heat reaction is caused which coagulates the blood and destroys protein in the wall of the vessel. The vessel then breaks down and the debris is removed by the bodies natural waste disposal system.
